History

The Green Transformation Coordination of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University was established by the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Senate Decision No. 22 dated December 26, 2023.

Mission

Within the scope of green transformation, our mission is to contribute to the university and society by creating sustainable green campuses and facilitating university-industry-city interactions in green practices at both national and international levels.

Vision

In line with our university's vision of being a leading institution in science, technology, art, sports, and culture, contributing to the quality of life in society through innovative and entrepreneurial individuals, our goal is to be a unit that benefits all university departments as well as university-industry-city collaboration in areas such as climate change, zero waste, and green transformation.

Goals and Objectives

Purpose:

To create projects aligned with green transformation and eco-campus objectives through university-local government collaboration and to organize events in cooperation with university and local actors.

Objectives:

• Develop and implement policies related to waste, recycling, water, energy, and other relevant areas for the university.
• Enhance collaboration between the university, industry, and local actors in the field of green transformation.
• Raise awareness about the university's green transformation goals and provide related training.
• Produce and support projects that promote and advance green transformation.
• Collect and report data across the university to support green transformation and eco-campus goals.
